My first time cooking for a party

When I was living with my parents in Indonesia, my mom usually don’t let me come to kitchen to help her, because she thought that I used to hurt myself when i come to kitchen... like i got cut in my finger, i got fired in my hand and bla bla blaa. So basically I’m so rare to come to kitchen for cooking.
Then after marriage, living far away from family especially my parents, can’t get any maid for helping me doin cleaning *well who is using maid in Oz for their home?? Except you’re really rich people*.. Then I realized that I really need help. I don’t know anything about kitchen, how to use this... how to do that... how to clean this... how to cook that. Then step by step I’m start to learn about cooking, of course from my mom in Indonesia. Almost every day I called her just to ask, how to cook this.. and how to use that.. I spent most of my time searching about anything in the kitchen from internet.. how to clean this.. how to use that.. how to go there.. where can i get my spices ... and anything.

Then my first big time is came. My hubby’s family want to come to our home. They want to have Indonesian food.. and especially we are a new married couple.. so they want to know how we manage everything so far. I was so confused at that time, I called my mom directly asked what should I do.. what do I have to cook because i never cook for a party before... My mom said the most important one is you should keep relax... think everything will be fine... then step by step my mom told me some recipe, how to cook them and everything *thanks mom.. you’re a really great mom*.

Then I asked my hubby to send me to an asian grocery nearby to get all my spices. The next day, after cleaning home, my hubby also help me in the kitchen.. *thanks honey.. mmmuach mmmuach* at that time, i cooked Nasi Goreng (Fried rice), Rendang (Indonesian beef curry), Ikan bakar (fried fish), Ayam panggang (Roasted chicken), Sambal goreng tempe (soya beans with sambal olek), some mix vegies and vegetable salad for the dressing. For the appetizer I made Es buah (fruit ice with blackcurrant syrup)..and you know.. Alhamdulillah all of them are cooked well.. with great taste as well... hmmm I’m so happy.. even that time i got hurt in my finger (yeaaa once again accidently i cut my finger).. but everything are worthy. My hubby’s family are happy.. they was wonder how we can manage everything.. for the house and the dishes :D but yeeeee... finally we can make it. Thanks for my mom and my hubby.. i love you soo much ;)
